With over 20 years of experience in financing and international trade, Mr. Charron is an expert when it comes to export markets. 

He has spent most of his career working with Canadian exporters and investors as well as managing strategic relationships with a wide variety of public sector entities, banks and private companies in Latin America and the Caribbean. Mr. Charron previously worked several years in the Trade section at the Canadian Embassy in Mexico City before joining Export Development Canada (EDC) in 2007.

During his time at EDC, Mr. Charron provided financing and insurance solutions, matchmaking, and strategic business development advice to both small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and large companies in a variety of sectors. He started his career at EDC as a financing underwriter on the corporate lending and the SME financing teams. In 2010, he joined the Mexico team in the international business development group and was appointed Regional Manager for the Caribbean, Central and South America in 2012.

With his deep market knowledge, understanding of the region and trusted connections, Mr. Charron founded Connexport in 2018, a consulting company focused on helping SMEs accelerate their expansion into international markets. 

Mr. Charron holds a BSc. Economics and Business Management from the University of Montreal/HEC and an MBA from McGill University in Montreal which also included a semester abroad at ESADE in Barcelona, Spain.

He is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
